# Data source template

Save some data sources with some or all configuration items set as data source template. When a similar data source is created the next time, you can choose to quickly instantiate and create it from this data source template.

It should be noted that the data source template is cross-application. For a data source template under the same user account, if it is created in application A, it is available in application A, and it is also available in application B. However, the data source is only available under the application in which it is created. Therefore, when multiple applications need the same data source, you can first save the data source as a template, and then instantiate the data source by using the data source template in the application that needs the data source.
